1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies including local storage, session storage, and pixels; we refer to all of them collectively as cookies in this Policy.
2. How we categorize cookies
We classify cookies into three categories based on their purpose:
- Strictly necessary: required for the Service to function (sign-in, security, load balancing, CSRF protection). No consent required.
- Functional: remember your preferences (language, theme, region). Implied through use.
- Analytics and performance: help us understand how visitors use the Service to improve it, in aggregated non-identifying form. Consent required where law requires.
We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, behavioral profiling, or sale to data brokers.
3. Specific cookies we use
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Strictly necessary | Authenticates your session after sign-in. | Session / 7 days |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Strictly necessary | Prevents cross-site request forgery on form submissions. | Session |
| next-auth.callback-url | Strictly necessary | Returns you to the right page after sign-in. | Session |
| NOVEX_LOCALE | Functional | Remembers your language preference (English / Arabic). | 1 year |
| novex-theme | Functional | Remembers your light/dark/system theme preference. | 1 year |
| _sentry_* | Analytics | Helps us diagnose errors you encounter in the app (PII-scrubbed). | 30 days |
The list above reflects the cookies in use as of the Last Updated date and may be updated.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising cookies, social-media pixels, or behavioral-tracking scripts. Some pages may load fonts from Google Fonts; Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. You can block third-party fonts in your browser; the Service remains fully functional with system fonts. On authenticated pages (your workspace and the platform admin console) we load Crisp.chat, our in-app customer-support widget; Crisp may set cookies on your device to maintain conversation continuity. See Crisp's privacy policy at https://crisp.chat/en/privacy/.
5. Managing cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: every modern browser lets you accept all cookies, block third-party cookies only, block all cookies, or delete existing cookies. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent the Service from working.
- Functional cookies: you can ignore them; the Service will continue to work without remembering your preferences.
- Analytics cookies: you can opt out at any time by emailing privacy@nov3x.com.
6. Do Not Track signals
We honor Global Privacy Control signals where applicable law requires. We do not currently respond to legacy Do Not Track headers.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted at nov3x.com/legal/cookies with a revised Last Updated date. Where required by law, we will obtain renewed consent for any change that introduces new tracking.
